Works on a new changeroom facility at Beatty Park Leisure Centre will be commencing this week.
Swimmers mainly use the accessible changeroom and three family changerooms near the 50m pool and three sets of male and female changerooms in the gym and opposite ends of the 50m pool.
In a bid to ease congestion, Vincent is building new accessible changerooms next to the indoor pool.
The Northern end changerooms, which have been closed due to safety reasons for many years, will be demolished to make way for the new facility on the pool deck.
The modern and multi-purpose facility will include general changerooms, unisex toilets, a universal accessible toilet, lockers, cleaner’s store and concourse changing boxes.
Vincent will also implement energy-efficient initiatives within the facility including water efficient showers, toilets and basins fixtures, and LED lighting with sensors.
Works will start from 13 February 2024. Please note the slides will be closed on Tuesday 13 February - Wednesday 14 February while the hoarding is installed.
The project is expected to be completed in early 2025.
