WA Masters Water Polo provides a pathway and transition for players over 45+ years looking for an opportunity to continue their water polo careers, still play competitive and spirited water polo but balanced with a very strong emphasis on friendship and social interaction.

Over the last 15+ years, the Masters grade has developed into a successful and important part of the local water polo community.

Players can participate as a team under their own Club name or join in as an individual playing for an existing combined club Masters team.

The Masters community train every Sunday morning at Beatty Park, from 7:30 - 9am all year round. Players from all clubs attend for a skills session followed by a game at UWA. Training is followed by a compulsory social session in the café.

W.A. Masters players are regular attendees of the FINA World Aquatics Masters Championships and over the years have travelled the world playing in their age divisions, both men and women, collecting the titles - Gold Medal World Champions.

Last year 3 WA Masters men’s teams; Perth Cockatoos 65+ and 70+, and the UWA City Beach 55+; received Silver medals at the World Aquatics 2023 Championships in Japan.

This year the Women’s Pink Pointers played at the 2024 Barcelona Masters and became Gold Medallists in the 55+ division.

2025 will see at least 5 touring Masters teams playing in Singapore at the World Aquatics Masters.

WA Masters currently have many men and women players who have been playing water polo for over 50 years and still going strong.
